Default 1995 Mustang Dash Lights and Tail light problem.

Sorry if this is the wrong section for this....

I just got a 1995 Mustang and the Dash lights and tail lights arent working. The headlights and turn signals all work. First thing i thought was the fuses so i checked them and they all seem fine but as i was putting one of the fuses back in i noticed the dash light and the tail lights flashed on and off. When putting the fuse in and out this happens. What could this be is it the fuse box?

I tryed to move the fuse around or put it in half way and it doesn't do anything only when i put it in and out it actually flashes and is the only time i see the lights come on. If anyone can help me advise on this id be very grateful.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a short or poo connection in the fusebox

I was thinking that might be it but i dont see why it flashes on when i first put the fuse in. Gonne take the fuse panel off tommorrow and check it i guess.

Also, just for shiggles, I'd try switching out the fuse. Couldn't hurt.

The same thing happened to me right after I bought my Mustang. All the lights worked fine for a couple of days. Then I noticed I had no dash lights, break lights or running lights. Hazard lights worked, blinkers did not. I changed the fuses, all worked briefly and then the fuse blew out again. I don't really know why it happened but I found that the lights worked fine until I put the car in reverse. I disconnected the backup light wire from the tranny and haven't had any problem since, except now I have no reverse lights.
