Huh? In Australia, maybe. Just to be clear, this is clearly the right side of the transmission.

What I'd like to know is what you have attached to tail of the trans. That's not the back end of a Mustang trans. This is:

Sorry you are right I pulled that off google and that is the right side and those are the cooler lines. On the driver side there seems to be a similar fitting and tube that comes down like that.

you can also make your own for im sure a lot cheaper. i made mine ( for a powerglide but im sure you can do it for a c4 as well) out of tubing with the fittings from advance auto, napa also sells the stuff. its the " brake line" as they call it although i dont know what car that size break like would fit. lol. just some patience, strength, and i did it for like 10 bucks and about 45 min.

I found out it is an overflow port for when there is too much fluid in the trans. I guess since the cooler is bypassed the trans got hot and built up pressure to reach that port and overflow. When I started the engine and checked the fluid it was very high on the dipstick. Transmission shifts good though so I dont believe anything was damaged. I dont really know what the previous owner was thinking..

External cooler is really the best way to go for ANY vehicle. You would be shocked if you saw the size of the internal cooler in some cars.
