Are you sure the firing order is right?

I have a 5.0 HO from a 90 GT. I had crossed and 5 and 6 in the firing order. They fire one after the other for this engine. I just crossed them at the cap. If it had been any other 2 wires it would have been unmistakeable. I am just shocked that crossing those 2 wires didn't have more of an effect on the performance. If you have that same firing order try swapping your 5 and 6 and see what it does.

I will admit. I haven't driven the car since changing them, but it revved up with nary hitch in the garage. No more popping.
