whats the difference in a 1970 sportsroof vs 1970 fastback?

Default whats the difference in a 1970 sportsroof vs 1970 fastback?

Looking at buying this car but the numbers came up as sportsroof and not fastback. Is fastback just a nick name?

its the same car! one is just the plane jane model and the other one is the GT, machs, bosses and so on...

yep, there's only 3 models. fastback, coupe and convertible. rest as above

65-68 was a fastback 69-73 it was called a sportsroof.

I bought the car! i got to drive it to my fokes about an hour away from where i bought it . it ran and drove great other then that noise. So just to be on the safe side i left her 6 hours from my home and ill make the trip soon to go pick her up......

had a Quick Q: Bullett said something about a 1970 GT? is there such thing?

Nope. They planned one, of course, but the "GT" was cancelled in mid-69. Too confusing for customers, between the

Mustang Sportsroof
Mustang mach1
Mustang GT
BOSS 302
BOSS 429
Shelby GT350
Shelby GT500

The 70 GT was planned to have a "GT" decal above the rear marker lamps.
