Default mark 7 8.8 swap?

i have a 65 coupe currently 8 inch rear. how is the measurements of the two rear ends? it would be NICE if the mark 7 was 2 inches wider cause im running 1 inch spacers to accommodate my 17 inch wheels.

the Mark 7 rear end is .75 inchs wider per side than a 5.0 mustang rear and they are wider than a 65-66 by a couple inches iirc

Make sure its a 8.8 the mark 7 early years used a 7.5 which looks just like a 8.8 but smaller.
