You can get a hid kit from http://www.brightheadlights.com/ or others but its not cheap.Yeah shoving a hid in a h4 housing is illegal and will blind other drivers at night.

what the hell they're trying to sell hid lights for a 1000 bucks. Jesus you would have to be out of your mind to spend that money on lights

It is an expensive setup, but it is the correct way to retrofit HID. There may be a less expensive place to get a kit like it, but I don't know who offers it. I have no interest in it or HID anyway. The other kits (like the ones on Ebay) are not the correct way.

At least the Reen H4 lights appear to have the horizontal beam cutoff and the upper right "tail" to illuminate road signs. That lets you get away with having more light to begin with (oncoming drivers are out of the pattern completely) and able to put more of it down at the road.

I was afraid that they might have duplicated the sealed beam pattern.

All of my cars since 1972 that came with sealed beam headlights had them swapped out for H4 conversions. In some places, you'll probably want to hang on to the original SB's for state inspection purposes, but in normal driving nobody pays any attention (especially now).

Being someone that does a LOT of light work and retrofits...this kit here...

Site- http://www.brightheadlights.com/5-7i...Projectors.htm

Picture- http://www.brightheadlights.com/xe7.JPG :::

...Actually seems to be a pretty decent setup for the price (if I read their checkout correctly at around $700)

Its plug and play, includes all the components (ballasts, bulbs, wiring, shrouds & projectors...etc) and seems like it would have decent light output...I have no way of knowing unless I get my hands on a set and examine the projectors & components and test their output...

But if you enjoy night time driving and have ever driven a car with REAL OEM quality HID components (not the ricer plug-and-play kits), you would know its well worth it...

On the original thread topic, angel eyes are best left for the BMW's....in my opinion...I truly feel they just dont belong on classic muscle...

-Just my input-

I already have a relay harness for my 6024 halogen sealed beams that looks like the same one.

AHHH Come on, like a previous post said, the 69 yearone camaro looked awesome with them. I guess it depends on the other mods you may have done to your car.

BTW: I haven't installed any fog lights in my lower bumper in front of the radiator. What set up did you all do? I know PIAA has a kit, but's super expensive. I've walked around Summit and saw some of their lights including in their catalogs. Just never got around to it. Anyone have any pics of their set up and sizes?

The problem with the halos are they are cheap plastic lights that will leak or hold water and short out your head lights.If the lens ain't glass don't ever use them is my rule learned the hard way before with apc lights they was cheap for a reason.My car when i get around to it I'll buy a kit off reenmachine there's look almost stock and are a h4.
