Where to look for classic stangs...
Sorry to keep bothering everyone with my relentless questions, but where should I keep and eye out for mustangs? I mainly want to find one form Michigan (a rust free one of course), Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, or Northern Ohio so i dont have to fly or drive accross the country. I have been checking out auto trader classics, cars-on-line.com, and craigslist religiously. Anyone know of any other websites or actual dealers to check out?

These people are around Chicago, they have a good reputation. Don't forget ebay, you never know what might show up in your area.

Unless you know how to properly evaluate a restored car, you could VERY easily end up with a Bondo/Rust bucket car if you limit your selection to the cars in upper MidWest. Here in Texas there are MANY old cars of all descriptions with little or no rust. As you go into the arid climates of West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc, they get even more rust free.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I fully expect that there are many folks in Michigan that don't even understand or appreciate the difference between a rust free car and a rusted out, even repaired rusted out car.
In Michigan, many folks take rust for granted. In the land of no or minimal salt on the roads, we take rust free cars of all ages for granted.
It is VERY easy to end up with a repaired rusty car for the same price as a car that has never experienced rust at all for the same price.
My $0.02,
