Default Any experience with the 1816 (3 CP) Bulbs?

Ok, I have finally restored and assembled a nice cluster with the original black faces for my 67FB. I am removing the blue diffusers and just going with the incandescent bulbs so that the lighting matches that of my black Autometer tach and center console gauges. I have read several posts suggesting the possible use of the 1816 bulbs to get more brightness. Does anyone have any experience with these? Recommendations?

I have cleaned everything up, replaced some gauges with NOS, and repainted the housing and inside bezel in a matte white.

Thank in advance!

FYI - I have no interest in LEDs. I went this route with my last cluster (see below) and white faces and it just looked too modern for me.
