When my 67 coupe heats up I get a whistle noise coming from the motor. I used an auto stethoscope and the only place that sounds different and where I can hear the whistle is at the carb. I checked all the hoses and do not see any air leaks. Could it be something internal in the carb? I have a Holley 4-barrel.

when did it start doing this?
does it run exactly the same as it did before it made the noise?
Does it do it at high rpm or low rpm or all the time?

Not sure exactly when it started but it runs the same. The whistle is at any RPM.

any possible way to take a vid of it whistling? only thing that i can think of whistling would be the vac advance but i dont think it has enough pressure to actually make a whistle sound

Get a can of carb cleaner and spray it at the base of the carb, if the RPM's pick up you have a leak. If its not the carb to the intake one of your vac hoses is cracked or leaking i would think.

and does the whistle get louder or change pitch when RPMs increase or decrease?
