that is a great set up

I have a similar set up but i would recommend the Lunati 610003 Cam. it is what i am running and my car get huals *** and i get looks and thumbs up at every stop light. It has the rumble every small blocks should have.

I did an explorer rear end with trac lock and rear disc. it was cheap and easy.

I highly recommend a locking rear end. otherwise all that power will spin your single rear tire and you will not go anywhere.

you'll need better axles for the 8"

i also hope the bottom end of your motor is in good shape whichever set of components you choose.

The car will be used very lightly. Occassionaly once or twice a year 1/4 mile race but thats about it.

The bottom end of the engine will also carefuly rebuilt.
