You didnt say what was in the 69 mustang for what you already have available. The C-6 has its own transmission crossmember. These are easy to find from most mustang parts places or off ebay, for about $40.

i have the entire drive line for both sets, my concern is that since its out of a 72 that all the parts wont match up completly

sry, i have a 351w, c4 trans currently in my 69, the 351c and C6 is still in the wrecked 72 fully assembled. i have the the cross member for the C6 but its designed for the 72.. i was wondering if i would have problems with the motor mounts, driveshaft length, trans crossmember mounting issue, location? ect...

You could just use the trans you have.
I'm not sure how important the C6 crossmember is, years ago I put a 71 C6 in a 68, without the special crossmember, since I didn't know any different. Didn't seem to be a problem.
You may be able to use the driveshaft you have now. If your 69 actually has an FMX, it'll have the 31 spline yoke, that may need to be swapped
All 289/302/351W/351C used the same motor mount system.

we recently swapped a FMX for a C6 in a Mercury 400M (late70s). the crossmember actually fit (i was well surprised), but we had to shorten the driveshaft by a couple of inches but spline count was 31 on both. I guess you won't know until you try ....

Strange, the factory transmission in a 69 351 would be an FMX, which was also used in the 71-73 351 2V.
im not 100% sure its a C6 now that u say factory 351c 2v came with a fmx.. ive been told that 351c and up came with c6 no one til now had mentioned the fmx..
so that brings up another question how can i tell the difference between a C6 and FMX?? part#, marking?
