Lightbulb ask dumb questions get dumb answers.....

Hello all. first off thank you everyone who responded to my 1st question about 64-66 mustangs with fender skirts (if you dont about this look it up) I showed the father in law and now I AM AN AUTO GOD in his books haha.... but my next question I guess will be easier... If I buy a 1969 mustang fastback and a set of 1970 mustang fastback "full" quarter panels will it eliminate the 69 side scoops? I love the looks of a 70 mach 1 but I like the "keys on the dash panel" of a 69 mach 1 and before any of you smarties say GO BUY A 69 BOSS 302... dont think I could sell the house for that much haha. On my 69 conversion I plan to buy 70 quarter panels 70 front fenders 70 headlight buckets and other related parts. I could rewire it so I can have 2 headlights instead of 4. Anything else I need to know before attempting a 69 to 70 conversion? Thanks everyone....

Since you seem to generally like the 70 body style better, I would just get that. I hate the idea of people making hybrids of them. In my opinion its all wrong.

That seems like a whole lot of work just to have the keys on the dash instead of on the steering column.

BTW - the tail lights are different too.

Now, I'm just throwing things around here... but wouldn't it be easier to get a 70, then put a 69 Dash and steering column in it?

I'm thinking so. With the body you've got panel work, fitment issues, paint, trim and endless questions from people who can tell something is up with the car.

Swap in a 69 dash and column.... well you've still got some fitment and trim to deal with, but you'll miss out on the couple thousand dollars worth of body and paint going the other route.

Though, far be it from me to know for certain if that swap works, I've only got a 69 and no 70 to compare fitment with.

Just got a new 2018 Mustang Ecoboost and just realized the passenger seats slide further back than the drivers seats. Is that normal?
