A woman's project: 68 Fastback

No updates really. We've been working a little on the vent windows and we are about to order a crate engine here shortly. In the meantime, here is the front cover of the Southern Polyurethanes, Inc. tech manual. Again we used their epoxy primer, and Universal Clear. We've used other products of theirs for some other projects we have. Two thumbs up for SPI. Won't use anything else!

Thank you. Actually, your "bump" comes at the right time. We just removed the hood and are about ready to pull the engine and sell it. We spoke with Keith Craft regarding the turn around time in ordering an engine as we are ready to start back at it. I think sometime next week we will place the order. Says it should be at our doorstep in 6 to 8 weeks.

Sorry NoReigns that you and your hubby have had so many problems with the engine for this beautiful car but glad to see there will be additional progress on it. Mine has slowed due to my new addition and the fact I am about to change jobs and go back to school for yet another degree. I really dislike hearing people tell me I am overqualified for a job.
Again happy to see progress and you should be out of all that snow by now. How are your other projects going? I am trying to live vicariously through all that you and your husband do to all the awesome projects you have going on.

Thanks guys. Our other projects haven't really progressed much either. I don't want to say we are burned out but...that's sort of what happens. It's hard to manage such a demanding and expensive hobby with real life. Trust me, I feel your pain 69fb!
But, we do need to get this car finished in this lifetime. Yesterday, we removed the nose (uuuugh) and pulled the engine (double uuuuugh). If anyone is interested in purchasing it, please let me know. Keith Craft is building us a 408w that should put out around 500/500 at the flywheel. We are going with the FAST EZ EFI 2.0 and Concept One Pulley's. I cannot WAIT to dress the engine bay to my liking Engine should arrive within 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, we are working on the brake lines and finishing up the wiring.
