Default Rear shocks in 70 mustang fastback

How do you change the rear shocks in a 70
Mustang? Thanks in advance!

You have to get into the area behind the back seat's backrest. You'll find two oval holes that are cut into the sheetmetal. Inside these holes you will find the nuts that hold the top of each of the shocks. Here is a picture of my project that I just finished painting. The inside is completely stripped out and there is no back glass or gas tank but you can see the two oval holes and the smaller holes inside that hold the top shock mounts.

ya. very simple. one bolt in the top (where pictured) and the other at the leaf spring bracket. you might need someone to hold the shock in place so it doesn't turn when you unbolt. usually they have a welded but or groove for this, so you can hold against it, but often it is gone.
