I haven't used them, did a massive google search on them and found mixed reviews in all sorts of forums. I wasn't willing to gamble so I'm back at my trusted local /machinist builder who will do the machine work while I do the build.

Hi Mr Velocity, you know of a good northern or central jersey engine shops? I didn't like the reviews of Promar (and they right down the street of me). I'll be pulling my 69 351W out of 1966 Mustang convert to put on headers and looking for a shop to put in new rings since I'll have motor out. I do get 125 psi cold and heads brand spanking new when I bought it a couple years ago But if I don't use the super thick anti smoke oil she will smoke after warm up usually about 1/2hr. And smoke pretty bad hehehe. I figure previous owners only had heads done and not pistons unless someone put a ring in wrong order or upside down.
