Default American Racing Hopster Wheels

Turns out my repo styled steel wheels will not clear the new disc brake calipers. Not a huge deal, as I want to get a wheel and tire combo in 15" that would fill the fenders and move away from the original skinnies.

looking at the Hopsters in the 15" size. Anyone have a photo of an early car with this combo ?

I am not a big fan of chrome (have not added any to my car, and will take off most trim when painted). So - the TT2 are not the wheel for me. I do like the hopster look - but they had a 3 month lead time for the size I wanted. After careful consideration
(and advice from wife - it's her car) - we went with the vintage wheel works shelby 10-spoke wheels. Got a deal at 150.00 per wheel - so they came out fairly cheap and have a nice period style.

What calipers?

The styled steel wheels are available in 15x7, and probably bigger.

I would rather have the shelby wheels, and they were cheaper than the 15x7 styled steel wheels.

I went with the polished tt2 not chrome but I do agree with you about chrome.

Good call on the vintage, post a pic when you have them installed.

I don't care for those Hopster wheels. Yuck.

My vote goes for these in this order. Magnum 500 or styled steel wheels. Torque Thrust or TT II, Keystone Klassic, Cragar SS.

I always forget about the Shelby 10 spokes. Those look awesome too.

TT2s come in polished aluminum as well. Polished aluminum is not chrome

Default Chrome vs. polished

I am aware of that - my preference is to avoid the shiny chrome look - which is why I decided against the Hopsters. Polished or chrome - either way the look is just not for me.

It sounds like you have made your decision but another non-polished wheel that looks good on a classic is Salt Flat wheels.
