Default Anyone seen custom upholstered A-Pillars?

Its been a while since I consistantly posted on the forums but after moving to a new house it is time to start working on the stang again.

I plan on installing some fairly nice audio equipment in the car and am planning on making fiberglass A-pillar covers that will be covered in vinyl to hold tweeters.

Has anyone seen anythong similar on a classic mustang?

Why not just make something smaller that would fit on the lower corner of the A pillar and the dash to hold a tweeter?

I visited this vendor while walking around Fords at Carlisle back in June. They have some really nice interior pieces, several of which I will considering next year some time. Some of thier components include A pillars. I don't know if you can buy them seperately, but maybe you can give them a call.

The guy I spoke to was very nice and down to earth.

You could get the abs ones from http://www.mpcustomproducts.com/ and add the tweeters to them.

I built a fiberglass housing for a set of gauges to sit where the factory center speaker wa and could build them for the tweets, but would really rather integrate into the a pillar. In addition, aiming the tweets can cause some issues with imaging that leads me to want them facing each other about 2-4 inches above the dash.

Those parts from mustangs to fear look great! Too bad the interior parts are for 67-69's.

The ABS looks cheap and hard. Whatever I make will be covered in vinyl to match the appearance of the interior.

Looks like it is time ot start laying down some glass in the near future...
