Default Shelby Roll Bar /Removeable Cross bar Pics:

Here are a few pics of a Shelby style roll bar installation I did in a '65 fastback. I build them out of 1 3/4" O.D. x .120" wall steel tubing. They bolt to the roof structure like an original Shelby roll bar did, as well as being welded to the floor. I added a couple of braces to the rear whellwells as well as a removeable crossbar that will allow the owners kids to access the back seat. The cross bar will allow a set of shoulder harnesses to be installed for safety:

A couple of braces strengthen the whole installation. They are mounted low to clear the courtesy light on the fiberglass panel:

The removeable cross bar is held in place with a couple of 5/16" hitch pins. The pins are mounted in double shear:

I don't have a picture, but it uses a hole that is already in the roof structure. I slipped a small plate behind the sheetmetal with a 1/2-13 nut welded to it and bolted it all together.
