Default Magnum 500 wheel on a convertible

I replaced the 14" wheels on my 73 convertible with some 15" magnum 500 wheels I bought off someone that had them on a 73 Mach. The front wheel rubs on the top ball joint. Can I not put these wheels on a convertible? the only difference I know of is that the convertible has disc brakes in the front and I think his might have been drums all the way around on the Mach.

Are teh Magnum 500s not for a Mustang? They may be a different offset of for a Mopar or something. Whats rubbing the tire? What size tires?

Its more than just rim dia. Somewhere I saw a post with the tire size chart, rim and offset. I'll see if I can dig it up.

This chart?

Mustang Wheel and Tyre Chart

Dunno why the wheels from a mach1 would be a problem on a convertible. The suspensions were identical. The disc and drum cars had the same upper control arm and ball joint, for example.
