Sounds reasonable to me. Considering the time I've put into this I'd probably be better off to buy new switch, motor, and resistor. Peace of mind, you know. Thanks for the input!

Your welcome. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you more. Right now I'm still running the original switch and blower resistor. I do have a new blower motor though. It gave out.

Well according to my part numbers stamped on the parts, the blower motor is a 65, and the switch assembly is a 68. You think a 65, 66, or 67 resistor would work? I can't seem to find any 68 resistors - they are all 65-67, then skips 68, then 69-73.

I have no idea why it skips 68. Can you take a picture of yours?

Appreciate the help. I found a place online out in California that sells everything I need, so I've bought all new switch, motor, and resistor. Place is called West Coast Classic Cougar and they specialize in parts for the classic Cougars and Mustangs. Thanks for the assist, though. Have a blessed day!

I've never heard of them. I'll have to check them out and add their site to my favorites.
