fastback interior fiberglass panels - paint remover
I am in the midst of redoing the interior of my 65 FB, and wanted to get the layers of paint off of the fiberglass panels - so the 'grain' can be seem again. anyone use paint stripper/remover on the interior fiberglass panels - so as not to damage the fiberglass?

You could try a mild stripper but I would just scuff the finish and respray them. If there are several layers of paint so that it fills in the grain, then stripper is the only option.
Try the most mild stripper first. Save aircraft remover as a last resort.

Yes, I've used Easy Off oven cleaner on mine. It has to be the Easy Off brand because it contains a fair amount of lye. I squirt it on, gently place the piece in a large garbage bag (to contain the fumes(it actually acts faster, too)) usually overnight, and come back to the piece and wipe off with 0 or 00 steel wool. I think I followed up with water, but can't remember. It took several applications for two layers of paint. Worked well.
