He comes in here asking about an Eleanor kit and 11 pages are dedicated to a debate as to whether or not his coupe is a Boss 302. Cut him some slack. He's looking for help and taking him to task on what he owns is neither helpful nor encourages him to to ask a question again.

I took my fair share of shots at him in this thread but to be fair, we were all new to something at sometime or another.
I remember buying a 2003 Hayabusa "Black Falcon edition"....according to the dealer this was "one of 50". Well when I began to talk about it with some guys on a Hayabusa forum, they lit me up like a candle. Turns out it was more like one in 2,000 and I was the dumbass.
So, despite the comments, it happens to everyone. I think its a badass car, just don't go all High School fast and furious on it and everyone here will support you.

No sadly, I traded it in on a Corvette 
I also picked up a pro street cruiser to keep my two wheeled gremlin happy.
I will own on again someday soon, there's really nothing like twisting the throttle on a Busa...just insane accelleration at all speeds.
I hopped mine up a bit with a 6" stretch, chromed out nose to tail and a 50 shot WHEEEE

Kid, there is a huge difference between the people who learn a lot and become knowledgeable and the people who never learn anything and others know are full of ****.
The ones who listen to the more experienced and knowledgeable learn more. The ones who know nothing and will argue even when they are wrong will never learn and will always be wrong.
With that said, let me fill you in. The small block Windsor Ford engine is quite popular and could be considered the small block Chevy of Ford engines. (I'm sorry I even called it that guys, but its a damn good analogy.) There are many many aftermarket parts available for these engines. Such as the following:
Exhibit A: For about $100 you can be the new owner of some "Cobra" valve covers. Does this mean that for $100 you can throw these babies on your non-Cobra motor and magically transform it to a Cobra motor? No. What you have now is a non-Cobra motor with "Cobra" valve covers. Just because the valve covers say "Cobra" does not mean the motor is a a true Cobra motor. It's just a motor with valve covers that say "Cobra."
Exhibit B: Again for about $100 you can buy these "Shelby" valve covers and instantly transform your car into a Shelby motor? Again, no. Just a motor with valve covers that say "Shelby."
You see, the valve covers on your motor were stamped "Boss 302" on them. This in no way confirms that your motor is a true Boss. Those valve covers were sold for Windsor motors and I'm not sure if they are still available. Regardless, just because my valve covers say "Boss" does not mean that it is indeed a Boss motor. Just like if my valve covers said; "Trickflow", "Comp Cams", "Mickey Thompson", etc.
