I always go back to the same thing. Check the firing order on your cam and make sure you have your wires correct. Aftermarkrt cans frequently run 351 firing orders. So need to.double check what your running.

Here's the cam that I bought for the car

COMP Cams #CL31-600-8 Thumpr™ Cam & Lifter Kit

It said it was for a 289-302. I couldn't imagine it would be timed for a 351 but none the less I'll check it.
