Hello, I plan on doin a t5 conversion in my mustang. I have a cable clutch, just wondering if it will work with these headers? Anyone have pics with these headers? thanks.

Just doing a little google search it seems everyone has had problems with those headers clearing the cable clutch...almost all full length headers will drop too low for a cable clutch. Are you using modern driveline clutch? Maybe contact FPA headers, they make a lot of ford specific headers for certain combinations. Looks like poeple have had success with FPA header and modern driveline cable clutch. Otherwise go with a hydraulic cable

I went with mid length JBA headers to avoid problems with clearing my clutch cable.

The hedman headers have oval ports. My sbf heads have rectangle ports.

Long story short: my hedman headers are now resting comfortably in crawl space.

Dont remind me...im running shorty headers with ovel ports on my rectangular afr heads...ugh...was going to buy some fpa until i started building this coilover suspension

I can't say about the ones you mention, but these cleared on Jim's 66 with a 351/408 with the Mustang Steve kit. IMO, these are pretty nice headers for the $$

I am not going to change the headers, it would be cheaper to buy a hydraulic unit. I searched for a couple days now, and can't really find much. Just trying to find if someone has used these headers with the cable clutch. Thanks.
