Crank to Cam line up
i was about to install my cam in my 1969 351w, but i forgot it need to be lined up with the crank so the timing is right, can anyone tell me how to line them up right so i dont have to tear it down again to fix it later?

there's the way that most people take called "straight up". means you have the dot on the crank gear that pulls chain pointing straight "up" and the one on cam straight down, so the dots are as close to each other as possible.
This will work, however what you _should_ do is get a cam timing wheel, a dial indicator and a piston stop. This is the only way to get it 100% accurate. the straight up method might cause the cam to be about 5 degrees out (that should be worst case).
