Eliminate roller spring perches

Just another idea...Instead of buying roller spring perches you can eliminate them all together and have an adjustable system.

All the mounting is in the stock location. I know the pic is of a custom UCA but it would mount to a stock one. QA1 offers the T bars for mounting. You would need 3.5'' for top and 5'' for bottom. Youd be able to run a lighter spring as well. Like a 450 or so.

Looks like you have a regular old bushing on that one, except it appears to be urethane.

correct but the spring is not rotating on it. The spring stays inline with the shock.

The arm rotates, exactly like a stock arm, around the bushing.

Is it an optical illusion? To me, the lower shock mount appears to be bent downward...

And I hate to be one of those critical guys, :D but I think I would run grade 8 bolts in that location instead of the grade 5... at least they seem to be grade 5 to my eye...

I know, those bolts are not ordinarily in tension, but still, grade 8s are cheap enough..... :D

And.... (damn, I don't want to sound like a dick..) if I was running that setup I would probably want those tabs where the lower shock mount hooks to extend across and connect to each other. the strength of the setup would be way stronger. The tabs look like a weak spot to me. (to me it looks prone to metal fatigue, especially with only one bolt through it, due to tiny amounts of flexing of the brackets.)

IDK, I might just be paranoid, I guess the stock perches would mount the same way, but I worry about stuff that holds the car up.

I do like the simplicity of the setup though.
