T5 Backup sender and Nutral Safety switch

i'm unsure, I have two 2-pin connectors on the T5. Since I don't use the backup lights (my early model doesn't have them) I have none of them connected. will measure the next time under car to see if it is one. As said unsure myself, but if not I couldn't think of what else that could be

The 'tinging' might be your e-brake cables jiggling against the driveshaft, make sure they are adjusted correctly.
