Default T5 Backup sender and Nutral Safety switch

Now that I have the T5 in, the back up sender uses 4 wires, the original 3 speed only had wires 2. I am thinking just tieing the 2 hot and to grounds together and hooking up to my stock harness. will this work, if so which ones are hot and which are ground?
also the neutral safety switch, i have no intention on hooking it up, can i just pull the switch and plug the hole with out affection the trany?

Thanks

There are two separate switches on the T5, the B/U should have two terminals on it. There is an aftermarket harness to connect the T5 B/U to your stock Mustang harness.

Thanks I need to readdress this later.
NEW issue---------
Got the car off the stands for a test spin. as soon as i hit 3rd gear a TINGING noise started, ONLY when the clutch is out and accelerating over 15 - 20mph (speed O is not connected). the noise is constant and dose not increase in speed, dropping gears the noise stayed. I did not have the trany rebuilt or inspected, so the true condition is unknown. Is it the tranny or did i bend the tines on the pressure plate?
Trany came from a 87 5.0 and numbers match 86.5 - 89 WC-T5. I did not pull the clutch and pressure plate as i probably should have. I used the original 289 bell and kept the clutch in place.

Any advise?

It should be no problem to use the OE clutch and bell, this is common practice.

The noise does not increase with trans speed? I can't explain that. even if the clutch or engine was falling apart, it should change with speed.

My T5 doesn't have a neutral safety switch. Just a two terminal backup light switch. It is a pretty early one (1984-1985).

Thanks 2+2. I need to correct my self, my first test drive was vary short.

I went for a second test drive tonight. through in some speed outside a residential. what i truly found is when accelerating the noise sped up and faded (in loudness) and when I slow down the noise slows but gets more pronounced. sounds almost like a piece of sheet metal dragging on something. Its realy not a "Ting" its more of a slapping (or bouncing) dragging sound only when the clutch is not depressed. the noise is completely gone when at idol.

sounds to me like the Throwout bearing may be flopping around some.

Yes, better check that the release bearing releases the clutch and moves 1/8" away from it when you let off the clutch pedal.
