Default 66 mustang convertible (picture heavy)

hey, i made a post a bit back but couldn't find it but that's just as well as it apparently had some mis-information. so i just picked up a 66 ford mustang convertible for the low low price of free. It has sat in my dad's garage for 30 years doing nothing and is now mine to restore. so i've got some preliminary pictures here which should say it all. the interior, convertible top, and engine are all original! the car was taken off the road in the early to mid 70s!
what do y'all think? what should i expect out of this car in terms of work? i'm paying for this restoration, i can do body work and whatnot but i want it done professionally. btw engine is seized from age, sitting still for so long and all.

DUDE, sweet interior, DO NOT SWITCH IT EVAR. its the premium pony interior. pretty sweet. now the car looks pretty solid for sitting for so long, you will have to replace the quarters, though there not too expensive. the door panel will also need to go, it seems too big of a dent to pull. check the framerails on the bottom of the car they tend to rust. check under the carpet to see if the floor panels are good. need more pics! get us some of the engine and a few of the car out in the open. this would be a sick car to restore to original. love the color too.

frame rails look pretty good, one may need a bit of tlc but till i get a better look i won't know entirely. the floor panels need to be replaced, on the passenger side it's through to the carpet (which also should be replaced).
i may be able to get pictures of it without all the crap in and on it tuesday

Cool color. A lot of work, but great project. You have a good starting point.

Looks like you've got plenty of work to do, especially body work.

What direction do you want to go? Newer engine? Or do you want to rebuild the original engine? Speaking of, is it an I6 or V8?

well direction i've been having some mental anguish with. the car is so original i'd hate to take away from that so i've been thinking about a total restoration. but every time i look at those aftermarket parts i drool. i've considered buying at least modern internals for the engine seeing as if i'm gonna do that it should be during the rebuild and maybe later i could add more but idk really.
what do yall think should be done here? all i know for sure right now is the color and i'm keeping the interior.
oh also one of you asked, it's a V8 with an auto transmission

EDIT: if any of you have any spares of the damaged body parts just say, i'd buy em from ya
