70's had a shoulder belt as an optionand have a mounting hole just above the rear window - I just used that.

I actually got the passenger side mounted last night. I used the NPD set and it worked fine. I really think NPD should consider adding a roof rail mount like Wesco so you didn't have to make it yourself. NPD is more expensive but they have the chrome buckles like the original. I do not have a welder so I had to take it to the local muffler shop to get the nut welded on my piece of flat iron. It was a little tricky getting the plate I made in the roof rail since I moved it about 10" inside the opening to get it closer to the front seat. I used pop-rivets to secure it. The mounting bolt for the 3-point was only factory installed in 1968, so you have a little fabrication to do. One question-where should the buckle actually be? I Know the new cars have them to one side or the other, but it seems more comfortable in my 65 to have it in the center where the original lap belts were fastened. Is this a potential hazard? Thanks for all the feedback.
