Right, The internal schuttle valve you see in 22's Picture is nothing more than a piston that moves/or don't move with the pressure exerted on either side of the Block (Either side means the rear brake side, or Front brake side).

When moved off center (More pressure on one side or the other), this moves the valve turning on the light. (YOU GOT A BRAKE PROBLEM) That is all it does.

Repair the broken line, hose, caliper, what ever, Regain the equal pressure on both side, the valve recenters light goes out.

I though we were talking about the cylindrical thingy that is inline and bolted to the front of the distribution block.

We are.

On another note, hard to get into that area to remove it for the rebuild kit. I was thinking of removing the master cylinder.

Thoughts?

Okay, I removed the dist and resides. Valve. Not fun but it,s done. I will pull motor during winter and re detail engine bay. My innards for both were great except for the spring on proportional valve. This must be the failure point as the rings were great. I wonder if someone did a partial rebuild. Kit OS on its way. Hope the fluid in the open mast fly. Does not empty.

Well, I got my kit yesterday. Turns out, they were both rebuilt. The person messed up by not replacing the spring. If it wasn't, those rubber rings were is mint shape.

So, what a pain to bleed the brakes. I may still bleed them again as I have rear brakes now but I think they could be better.

I have not hooked up the Brake switch so I guess I will find out if the need is there for the light.

One thing I am a little worried about, I put the dist pin in without taking out the switch and I hope I didn't damage the switch taping it back in.

No leaks though.
