my 1972 mach 1
 

hello everyone, just joined the cite and ready to ask questions about modifying and restoring my 1972 Mach 1. It needs a new paint job back to the original color and minor interior work and other things to make this car a complete restoration. I am also looking to up the power of this pony a little to show off a bit!

That looks really cool in survivor condition that its in. I like it. Does it really need to be completely restored? Please don't cut up that awesome hood.

You want a centrifugal supercharger but i can't find a kit for a cleveland its been done but most was custom.

yeah i dont wanna mess up the originality of my car. i would like to completely restore it in order to sell it for the highest price, its about 85-90% restored right now, with no rust and only minor body work. The biggest project left is painting back to the original Grabber blue and black.

Honestly the 71-73 are the red headed step child of early mustangs.Some love them a lot don't like them so selling it later for a high number will take a long time.

Times have changed, this was an old common 1980s opinion. 71-73 are going way up in value, probably because they're getting so rare. Nobody restored them in the 80s because of that attitude, so now the 71-73s are rare and the earlier models are way too common. Look at Mustang shows, there's rows and rows of 65-70s and hardly any 71-73s.
About a month ago at Mecum Auctions I saw three 71s in a row go on the block for good money:
A restored 71 Mach1 with 429--$46K
A unrestored 71 Boss 351 ---$46K
And the surprise, a show quality restored 71 Mach1 with 351---$47K

i need to change my shorts.....man nice ride!
