Default Help with swap

I have a 67 mustang, I had a 5 speed put in from a 97 5.0, my car was originally automatic, now my clutch pedal is way to low and I am told no adjustments??? It is a cable style clutch. Suggestions?.

sounds to me like they installed a hydraulic clutch. It can be adjusted if it was done correctly. There should be a shaft going from the slave cylinder to the lever. Unless they installed a hydraulic slave throwout bearing. In that case, it cannot be adjusted unless the mounting point from the lever to the pedal is changed

I'm not real versed on the different clutch set ups. This does not have a hydraulic (oil filled) canister .the cable comes from beside the bell to the fire-wall and mounts to the pedal

Makes me wonder if they didn't put in the pedal return spring.

'97 5.0? The last Mustang 5.0 was 1995, after that, 4.6L. imp
