Default where to get the hard to find carb parts

Got the engine in to get a rebuild that went ok,,put it back into car,,,, car runs great,,, One problem,, the carb,,, 7 turns or so to get it to run "normal" timing ok,,, took it to the shop to have the "Pro's" take a look. what they say is I've got a vacum leak,,in the carb,,,, not the gaskets, little silver "dutch" caps that cover the power valve and such or the body,, they say it's mostly likely the ( I don't remember the name of the part) "bushings" ? around the throttle shaft or choke shaft. Question is where can you get these puppy's,, regular rebuild kits don't tend to give you the "little" things that you might need. I disconnected the vacuum line from the back fire valve and pluged the carb inlet. no change

200ci 6 popper
manual tranny
1st Gen smog system
No AC
Pertronix ignition
Motor craft modell 1100 1bbl carb
timing set to +6 bftd

thanks for any help/info

you might check with Gotta Fish Carburetors, they are in Oregon, just Google it. He does mainly 2100 and 4100 carbs, but may have parts for yours.

There's no such thing as a replacement throttle shaft bushing, that's an item that's added to worn carb bodies to bring them back to spec. It's a pretty hard-core rebuild item, not a casual repair part.

Carb junkys has a kit that comes with a reamer and new bushings. You need to be a bit handy to do this...
