Except it doesn't make much sense. It's just a housing, so why mention 31 splines and 67-73 used different housings...IIRC.

Sounds like the ad is saying that it is missing the 3rd member but the axles are still there and they are 31 spline. The 67-70 used one housing and the 71-73 used a wider one so you are right about that. I would rather people just put what it came out of and then I can figure out if it will fit my application. It is not a bad deal if it will fit a 67-70 though.
