+1 for Valvoline VR1, you can even get it in 10W-30 from Napa Auto.

Cam-shield dot com website has a good ZDDP write up.

VR1 here as well. If I don't have that I use ZDDP as additive. But if I can get my hands on VR1 (harder to find in europe) then I'll go with that.

I have heard it is not necessary unless you are driving your car alot. That said it is not needed at all if you have updated cylinder heads. The only reason you need it is if you have the original iron top (like mine does). I drive a decent amount so I add a bottle of Gunk Lead substitute to protect my valves and my 302 purrs. for $3.99 more each fill up I see it as cheap insurance.

Could be a great excuse to upgrade your cylinder heads but if you do the math it doesnt work out....but who cares.
