Default where to mount thermostat

this is on my 65 mustang. I have a edel per 289 intake on it. I have the sending unit for the temp gauge in the right spot right now and need to add a spot for the sending unit for the electric fan. I was thinking of just puting a T in that spot to make it able to accept 2 sending units. But was thinking that water would not beable to just flow over that the water in it would be trapped and might cause a inaccuracy in the reading. Has anyone put a T their and did it work fine. Dont really have anywhere else to put it as im using the other manifold hole for the heater. Any ideas

Im running the sensor that pushes into the radiator fins, but for your setup I have also seen aftermarket thermostat housing that have the extra spot for the electric fan sensor.

very nice i think that will work. Now what sensor should i mount in that being that its after the thermostat. Or will it not matter just want to make sure i have a good reading and something good enough to kick on the fans

make sure that the rear ports are not intake ports. I dont think ive seen water passage ports on the rear before with a performer intake. The water stops at the intake @ the rear on both sides. The front has a cross over, but rear doesnt. The air gap intake has water passage ports @ the rear and front.

I looked and they are for sure coolant ports coolant cam out when i remove the plug. The intake has 4 of them two front and 2 rear. This was a used intake so might have been drilled and taped for them but they are meant to be their with the raised circles.
