Default so i adjusted my carb and now throttle is sticking

I have a holley street avenger carb and the choke was not working. I adjusted the choke so it would stay on longer and now the throttle doesnt want to return to idle once i let off the gas. It doesnt always do it but it does most of the time.
I moved the choke back to where it originally was and no luck. what did i do and how i repair it?

thanks Yall

Can you throttle up by hand then back it off by hand? Is the linkage binding somewhere? Is the return spring hooked up? Is the linkage gummed up?

linkage is clear and good. i can lift the pedal up with my foot and the idle will drop, once i let go it goes back up though.

problem only started once i adjusted the choke.

So the pedal won't snap back by itself, but is not obstructed if you manually do it.
Take the choke apart and take a look. I'm think there is a linkage that goes between the choke and throttle. See if it's hung up on anything inside.
Did you make sure your spring is hooked up properly?
