thats all i had to read...sorry about the wreck your buddy probably hasnt ever driven a classic and wasnt used to your brakes....i dunno if yall have O'Reliey auto parts places but here on the mainland they sell dupont paints
Oh yea, i forgot to explain the brakes. So i changed the lines to stainless about 4 months ago. The front passenger side started leaking and i didnt notice. Must have happened quickly. I checked the master cylinder and it was empty... dry.. so i believe the brake story. It sucks so much.
I think that the old hardware with the new stainless braided lines didnt like eachother. I screwed it up somehow.
I started plumbing my car with stainless lines, even with the mastercool hydraulic flare tool the flares just didn't look right. Just about, if not everyone here, will advise against using stainless lines because of the difficult time in getting them to seal. I'm about to redo everything with copper nickle lines.
Got all this and a radiator for$500!!!!!!!!!!! The guy has 3a cars behind his house all never to be moved again unless there is a horder intervention. He had two sheds full of good original parts.. i picked through and got the best fenders out of the 5.5 sets of them. He had more for 70, 67, and 65's. In the other shed was engine parts and radiators.. got one of them too and two grills one broken but complete. The other perfect but only one headlight door. Im happy.. very happy.
