Default 1965 Hood Hinges and Springs

We want to replace the hood hinges and the springs on our convertible, as they are getting very loose in the rivets. Is their anyplace that people can recommend good ones from? I am rather nervous about the springs because I have heard about some being too weak to hold the hood up.

Why not just peen the rivets a bit more? They'll get nice and tight for the trouble of pulling the hinges off and giving each pin a whack. Don't hit it too hard, or it'll get too tight.

Thanks for the advice, but since we don't know what else might be wrong with them, we would prefer to replace them, unless their are problems with the reproduction ones.

Unless they are bent, which you could tell with a quick glance, nothing else could be wrong with them.

What is wrong with your hinges. We use Scott drake, We don't care for the Dynacorn ones.
