whats this mustang worth?

it would be a great car when totally restored and probably could sell for over 20k. The problem is so many of the body panels have extensive rust that it would easily cost 10k just in parts to get it going. Then add another 10k labor and you have a car that will cost more to restore than it is worth. I hate to say it but what will probably happen with it is you will be able to get about 5k for it. The person that buys it will just bondo over all the rust and slap a $300 paint job on it and sell it for double what he has in it. Then the new owner will drive it for a few weeks to a few months before the rust comes bubbling right thru the paint and things start to fall apart.
Rust is really the devil with old cars. It ends up killing a bunch of otherwise great old muscle cars.

looks like a good car to re-body as im sure their is nothing left underneath. Is it a true 390 4 speed with a/c and power steering, also does it have the dummy lights inside would be in the middle of the dash, Dash tack, center councle, ect. If its a highly optioned car and has a title and majority of the parts. It could be worth more i wouldnt let it go for nothing, just in parts of parting it out i would bet you have over 2500 i would assume its worth more then 3k easy, depending on everything thats their and options ect could be worth more then the 5k.

That ones in worse shape than I expected. I'm sure it'll need new floorboards from the picks, and probably frame rail repair as well.
You're definitely talking $20,000k to restore it or more.
Does the owner know what it's worth? Or is it just a junk car to them? If I were you, I'd lowball, try to get it for as cheap as you can, and then try to sell it to someone who will dump the money into restoring it. Try to make a quick profit.
