Default Fender brace for 66 vert necessry?

On my 66 vert I'm retoring I'm planning on using a monte carlo bar and an export brace. Was not planning on using the fender braces that came on verts. They are the braces running from cowl to fron of fender on both side. I'm thinking this sufficient if not stronger than original. Any thoughts? thanks

an export brace and monte carlo bar will make your front chassis pretty solid. You shouldn't need any more than that unless you're doing an extreme racing build or you just want it for show.

What you are planning is superior to the 66 tubes. Hang them on a nail in the corner, and give then to the next owner of the car.
