Default Converting 69 to AC. I have removed everything

So, in a lapse of judgement, I removed the complete interior yesterday in order to por15 the pan/firewall and install sound deadener an.

My questions are these;
1. since I have the complete heating system out, should I convert to AC?

if 1 is yes,
2. Should I go aftermarket
3. Should I find stock or repro?

What cost am I looking at?

I installed the Perfect-Fit from Classic Auto Air. I didn't have any trouble installing it. My car was an AC car so I didn't have to fuss with aftermarket vents and such. Inside the car it looks bone stock. If your car isn't an air car I would swap in the air lower dash and use an air upper dash, the install will look much cleaner. I could have done without air really but I wanted to modernize the under dash components. I paid $1249, bought it from their Ebay store.

Where are you in NH? I'm in Laconia.

I installed the classic auto air in my 67, it wasn't that fun. But worth it.

Lost me on the swap, I should find a new lower dash that had air?

If I go classic air, I would have to cut the holes and I am okay with the hole in the dashpad, I am worried about the holes in the lower (Metal) dash on the curved ends.

Anyone drill those and if so, what did you use to not mess up the hole.

I was thinking that I was worried about the, it's not original, but the comfort. WE would have wet backs anywhere we went last year.

Or just ask if they could do you a kit with small vents under the dash it would work and not have to cut any holes.

It's not about the holes, its about the drilling of them. I guess I could always take the dash, since it is out, to a body shop. Or, should I take it to an Audio place, they do a lot of cutting to get speakers in.

Thoughts?

Cool....Thanks...

Appears that the Original holes were oval, which I have not paid attention to much. Time to find the vents and maybe bid on this ...
