Great because I bought it. :P

Busy weekend, I can feel it coming. I can't wait to see how the gearing changes how the car drives.

swap went well. Thanks for letting me know about the yokes, that would have made this whole situation a lot more complicated if I wouldn't have known.

Drives like a completely different car now. A lot quicker off the line, shifts into third a lot quicker too. Speedo is off 25 mph now though. 65 mph is about the comfort limit, any higher than that is way to many rpms. I have no tac, so what's a rough guess at how many rpms I'm turning at 65 mph with a 3.25 rear end with an automatic?

just so you know for future reference, if you want a 8" but still keep 4 lugs look for a 70-72 maverick or comet they came with 8" that had 4 lugs in the 6 cylinder cars. if you can grab the rims too you can use those with a disc brake swap and it will clear the calipers unlike the earlier rims.

just make sure if its a 70 mavrick or comet you verify its a 8" because they did put 7 1/4" in those they swap mid year.
