Have the heads been rebuilt? If so, no worrys, they probably put in hardened valve guides.
I have heard that even with the old syle valve guides, they don't seem to wear any quicker with unleaded. So it may not matter. If it hasn't been rebuilt, maybe something else in the engine will wear out before the valve guides start leaking anyway, like your cam or main berrings (because modern oil only has half as much ZDDP as the old days).

only thing i would do is buy real gas.... http://buyrealgas.com/
Here's another link. I live in PA, where the fine for selling ethanol without a warning label is pretty severe. Other states are a little slack in this regard.

It's worth the trouble, if you can. Real gas can give you about 10% better mileage. I get 16 with my dd on gas, 14 with ethanol. That means I'm getting about 22¢ more travel out of every gallon of fuel. Considering both cost about the same at the pump, it's worth a bit of a detour to get it.

The problem with un-real gas is that ethanol eats up old style carb gaskets.
The new Edelbrock carbs don't have that problem though. Mine's been running
great for over 4 years on the crap gas they sell in Calif.
BTW: Just filled up today at $4.49/gal for 91 octane with 10% ethanol, I can definatly say rip-off!!

What's sad is how much of that is taxes. Typical station markup is about 5¢. Same with the wholesaler, etc. It's gonna get worse. Ford Motor Company believes the national average for regular 87 will be $5/gal by August. They are countering that with a line of high-mileage small cars.
