Default Dimpling/Crimping the sheet metal before torque box

So, I did a little damage getting out the old torque box. How do you dimple/crimp the sheet metal that is along the bottom of the rocker area?

I believe this is 16 gauge? 22?

I don't "for sure" get what your asking, but for parts still on the car, you are going to probably need to mostly work with a hammer and dolly....

I am at work but it's original and at the bottom of the rocker where the inside meet the outside, the lip, looks wavy/crimped/pinched along it.

Not sure if this is factory or what happens over time.

Was this pounded about? IT's all along the front to back.

I am trying to find a pic online but no luck yet

Here are a couple, mine are not real rusted, inside has surface rust that I am going to wire but this is kind of what I mean.

Most likely factory from where the inner plate on the rocker and outer rocker spot welded together. I would just hammer and dolly as suggested if you need to straighten it out a little.

Even if that is "factory", (which I dont think all of it is), I would work that witha hammer and dolly to clean that up some.

Not many people will see or notice that seam, but if it is cleaned up it will look good when it is seen.

Some is factory from when it was welded up but not all of that. Alot of that came from 40+ years of working, jacking, sliding stuff around underneath your car.

that paint is the final paint job so I am a little worried about chipping. I may have to leave and cut just above that and stitch that in. I am worried about Torque box fit.
