Default 65 shelby gauge pod

Seen alot of vendors that sell them, interested to see what people have and how they like them. Im for sure getting one have the rally pac now and dont like it i like the tac to be in the pod as i had in another car. Anyways ive seen the fiberglass, and the abs plastic cant decide. Also i was wondering if anyone have seen a vinyl wrapped abs plastic one, i have a few parts that are like this and like them alot.

One other question. Im also doing full aftermarket gauges i am using the 66 bezel with as thats what i like the best. Ive limited it down to either auto meter ultra light all electric. But im also thinking all black with white letter might look nice. Anyone have all black with white letter autometer that are comparable to the price of the ultra light 90 deg sweep? I tried looking on the net but did not find much for black face gauges mostly the ultra lights or white face gauges but i dont want white face.

Thanks

I have the ABS pod, its slightly thicker then a milk jug. Years back i tried to get it upholstered and nobody would do it, too many curves.

Ya thats what im thinking everything i get abs plastic i end up taking off and putting that vinyl wrapped abs plastic, that stuff seems to be pretty nice and i like it. Hope to hear back from maier racing i would assume theirs is fiberglass. Hard to find out tho their advertising sucks. Their are so many other things they offer that their web site does not have and alot of other things they will sell but dont advertise or sell anywhere.

Just called maier racing and wow im amazed they will do almost anything you want at good prices. The dash pod is fiberglass offer both 65 and 66. Also i was talking to him about if they have 65 shelby hoods with louvers like the 67 or 68 shelby. They said they can make them wait is about 2-3 weeks and i can decide on either louvers cost is around 200 over the cost of a normal 65 shelby hood. He said they have hundreds of molds and can pretty much do anything you want. Their website sucks but if your looking for custom fiberglass hoods/ other parts give them a call.

Im pretty sure im going to go look at getting a 65 shelby hood with 67 louvers in it.
