Long tube header install gone haywire!

@mclaren,
Wont have that issue with the shorties, my problem was with not being able to get them in from the top. With shorties, they roughly the same size as the stock manifolds. Which are designed to be user friendly.

go with FPA long tubes, 10 minutes each side and they tuck beneath frame rails. they cost a little more but well worth it. 66 Fastback

Mine were easy to install on my 66. I think I have less room then you do as well. I just took the nuts off the motor mounts and jacked up the engine about 3 inches and they went right on. I think it was about 1 hour total!

I think I've figuered out the problem with my headers the engine mounts or Frame or something is twisted such that the drivers side is too tight, So I think its time for adjustble motor mounts. anybody use these?

I had to lift my motor to get my hooker headers in. They fit great after they are in.
