I just bought this 68 302. changed the radiator cap and water pump. It get up to temp and starts to boil and push out the over flow tube until it is completely drained. new thermostat too. Any ideas??? no leaks or coolant in the oil.

How old is the radiator? the fins may be clogged in places where you cant see by just looking in the cap. On a side note, a radiator filter is a good investment

If its the original radiator more than likely it is clogged with scale and rust. Any well stocked auto parts dept or shop would be able to recondition it.

Did you put the T-Stat in backwards?

Completely drained? 100% of the coolant?

New engine- Head gasket on backward.

Radiator should be filled cold 1" below the cap seal ring. Any higher simply proves thermodynamics, that liquids expand when hot.

What thermostat are you using? Ford specified 190°, for best power, economy, and oil longevity.
