Default HEI distributor install 68 302

Good evening guys,
I did a search but couldnt seem to find a thread/post about this particular install.
I have a new HEI dizzy with three wires on it. 1st is black, 2nd is black with a red stripe, 3rd is black with a purple stripe. I assume the black is a ground, red is power, and purple is negative? I cant find a read with these exact colors. Can someone point me in the direction on how to wire this up?
Also, there is no internal coil, so I am using a aftermarket coil.
Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Mike

do you have a part number/manufacturer so you can go pull the datasheet?

I did go to the website, couldnt find much help. But better examination of the inside of the dizzy, the solid black wire doesnt go into the module. So that has to be a ground. The other two go to the module inside of the dizzy. So I am compelled to think its positive and negative. I just need some confirmation, soI dont end up frying the darn thing.

No coil in the cap, external, I have a flame thrower coil to go along with it.
The engine itself is from a 71 mustang. Original car was produced with an inline 6. so you ca only imagine my frustration with parts. LOL
